Airbus A320 CEO/NEO Engine Run Up Courses

This course is designed for individuals with at least a Part 66 B1 and/or B2 license who completed an Airbus A319/A320/A321 CEO/NEO B1 and/or B2 maintenance type training course. The course will impart the basics to perform safe and efficient engine run ups on the Airbus A320 CEO/NEO family Series.

Beside the theoretical training the practical part will be performed in a Full Flight Simulator, to be able to train as well failure scenarios in a realistic environment.

Duration

The theoretical part of this course takes 1 training day. The practical part of this course takes 4 hours per group of 2 students.

Location

Unless otherwise specified, the theoretical part of the course is provided at the facilities of Horizon Swiss Flight Academy in Kloten, Switzerland. The practical part will be conducted at a suitable simulator facility in Europe.

Course Objective

After completion of the Engine Run-Up Maintenance Course Aircraft: Airbus A320 CEO/NEO, the participant should be able to:

understand/explain the engine systems relevant to engine operations
start and operate the engines by following the procedures and restrictions specified in the corresponding approved technical documentation and to all relevant safety precautions
conduct typical system functional tests connected with engine run ups
determine the relevant performance requirements
conduct the appropriate troubleshooting in the event of a system failure

Additional Course Information

Participants
A minimum of 2 participants are recommended.
The practical modules will be conducted in groups of 2 students per simulator session and per engine.
Individual differential trainings between CEO or NEO engines can be provided.
Training Material
Upon course start the students receive a hand out including all relevant information.
Course Language
The course and all training material is in English language.
Examination
Engine Run Assessment can be requested. Performance will be continuously monitored throughout the training.
Additional practical hours have to be added in the simulator.
After successful completion a Certificate of Attendance will be issued.
